With the Senteo interactive response system, teachers can assess learning anytime during a lesson by quizzing or polling pupils and receiving instant responses. The handheld remotes are ergonomically designed to easily fit in young hands with 21 clearly marked buttons that make responding simple and fast. The Senteo interactive response system is fully integrated with Notebook software to create questions and tests that include pictures, sound, video and Adobe Flash files.

Update 9 January 2008 – SMART announces that the UK price of the Senteo interactive response system will be reduced by 35 per cent and, in the summer of 2008, an upgrade to version 2.0 of Senteo assessment software will be available at no charge.

Version 2.0 features extensive tracking, reporting and analysis, including a full-featured gradebook for score keeping, the ability to tag pupils' names with keywords and an improved interface, which allows users to search, sort, organise and monitor pupils' marks.
